1947: A Black Dahlia confession is found seaside

Finding a pile of clothing by the beach in Venice, California, wasn’t the most unusual thing in the world. But this was no sign of skinny-dipping.

Tucked inside one of the tan shoes, next to the blue tweed suit, brown and white t-shirt, tan socks, and white underwear, was a suicide note confessing to something terribly dark:
